I attended the 2 day workshop in Albany on " Real Life Strategies" and "How to teach our students". This was by far the
best 2 day workshop I've been to in a long time. Diane was very thorough with her presentation and offered many opportunities
for a "hands on " experience. I learned many new techniques that I could immediately use in my special education classroom.
I have already implemented many and they are working great! I highly recommend attending one of Diane's workshops!

Diane Black's services have been paramount in enhancing the quality of my son's life in school. She has spent much time
conferencing with his teachers and educating them about his disability. My son has Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD.
The instruction and support that she provides the teachers that work with him are vital in order for him to achieve
successfully. On a regular basis, Ms. Black monitors and works with his teachers to adjust his Behavior Modification
Plan. She assists them in incorporating strategies and techniques that are specific to his needs. Diane has made a
positive impact on how my son is perceived by the professionals in his charge. He was labeled as a behavior problem
and a defiant child and was treated as such. It was truly heart-breaking. I don't think there are words that can
describe how painful it is when your child is not understood. Thanks to Diane's expertise, he is now embraced by
teachers and wants to go to school. He is having a great year and has begun to be perceived in a positive light by
the professionals who work with him. It is so true in what they say… Education is everything!! Thank you Diane for
saving my amazing son!

I have had the pleasure of working with Diane since 2004, when our district schedule our first training session. Since
then we have been able to develop a program that enables us to meet the individual needs of our most challenged students.
Diane always brings new and exciting ideas and strategies during her monthly consultative visits. Diane helps you assess
and provide supports for your students based on their abilities, not their disabilities. Her kind and compasionate
personality adds an important element to our professional relationship.

I teach a self contained Preschool Disabilities class. Many of the students in my class have behavioral issues, and are
on the Autistic spectrum. Diane Black started working with our classroom about four years ago. She has had a huge
impact in my classroom! She visits at least once a month, and gives me practical behavior stragtegies to use with my
students. Her strategies work....my students are living proof! She has given me training in the use of PECS (Picture
Exchange Communication System), ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), and the use of positive behavioral support strategies.
It is so amazing to see the transformation in my students after implementing the strategies that Diane has suggested.
She is extremely friendly, flexible, and is always available for questions. She has become an important member of
our classroom. I feel that she has helped me to become a better teacher! She is a true professional who has dedicated
her career to helping students with special needs.

"Diane Black's individual attention to the behavior's specific to my classroom had immediate impact on the climate of
my room. Her innovative ideas made me a better teacher and my students better learners. With Diane's support I have
learned how to think outside of the box when it comes to behavioral intervention, and to provide the necessary support
to each student in my classroom."
